K.A. KRISHNAMURTHY, Ph.D., is Principal, Sri Siddhartha Institute of Technology, Tumkur (Karnataka). He is a distinguished academic with B.E. in Electrical Engineering, M.Tech. in Industrial Electronics and Ph.D. from the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay. He is the recipient of U.P. State National Award (1996–1997), J.C. Bose Memorial Gold Medal of IETE (1994–1996), and ISTE national award (2003–2004) for his best research paper.Dr. Krishnamurthy is involved in teaching courses related to microprocessors both at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. His research interests are in areas of power electronics and microprocessor-based instrumentation. He has over 90 research publications to his credit in journals of national and international repute. He is also the author of several books.
